I Made It!

 Wow I can't believe I'm finally here. I know it's a weird time in the school year but I'm just happy to be here at all. It's so far from home but there's just so much to do. Not to mention my school is absolutely wonderful! All those great athletes in training and of course former and current ones too! I almost fainted from the excitement. And all the muscles my gosh... 

I suppose I should introduce myself since I don't think I really know anyone around here. Well, other than you Sousuke-kun! 

Anyway, my name's Matsuoka Kou and I go to Shirataiiku Sports University and I'm staying in Momo Hall. I'm studying Sports Medicine and I'll be the swim team's medic too. Nice to meet everyone~

You must be glad that Shiataiiku has a good indoor pool then, since it's a bit cold to be training for swimming outdoors.

I got coerced into swimming in the ocean a few weeks ago. I definitely do not recommend it.

What would you be comfortable with? Matsuoka sounds like a very familiar name, I feel like I should know it.

Oh dear that sounds so cold! Though maybe a bit invigorating too. But certainly not a good idea.

Well... whatever you're comfortable with I suppose. Oh and maybe you've heard of my brother then! His name's Rin also, funny coincidence. A lot of people always called him Matsuoka too though so I was used to just being called his sister or by my first name.

It's a lot more bracing than a cold shower I bet. But I'll stay away and keep my team from it too. Not exactly something a medic should be suggesting, heh~

That would be fine. Wait you know Sousuke-kun~? Oh that's great I was wondering when I would meet his friends!

Quite a bit more. I did at one point want to try swimming in the frozen over water that they do in some places, but I might wait.

... Yes, I'm friends with Yamazaki-kun. I've heard a little bit about your brother from him.

That's great! I've known Sousuke-kun since we were pretty little. We went to elementary school and middle school together. And he went to high school for a while with my brother so I'm not surprised!

Ah, you must be the friend who was like a little sister to him?

All I know is that the two of them are childhood friends, apparently he likes swimming and the ocean and Yamazaki-kun was... quite fond of him.

Aw, Sousuke-kun calls me a little sister? He's so silly but I guess he's like another big brother to me too.

Oh yes. They were on the team together and swam together since they were little. I remember their last year of high school they were very close. Sousuke-kun even transferred to the same school to be with my brother. High school seemed so crazy now, everyone just doing what they wanted, heh. Oops but if I keep writing stuff like this I might embarrass him so I should probably stop.

Yes, I imagine he's quite good as an older brother. Very attentive.

I vaguely remember him mentioning transferring schools for a year. Also about having to share a room, that seemed like a bit of an effort.

No please, Kou-chan, tell me more. I'm fascinated by learning this information about Yamazaki-kun. He's quite private sometimes.

Oh yes that was with Onii-chan for sure! I went to visit a few times. They always looked like they were having lots of fun even if they argued over who got what bunk in the beginning. So silly, they always bickered over something but that just showed how good of friends they were.

Really? Well I'm not sure what it explains but if Sousuke-kun was talking lots about Onii-chan like he used to then that makes sense. We talked a lot and kept each other company sort of whenever my brother ran off... which was a lot after he had gone to Australia.

He's very forgiving. It's no hardship to take the blame.

Not as much as I would have liked actually. I sort of came here without telling him. It was all a big surprise even to me since I wasn't sure I'd get in.

That's still very kind of you when we've only just met, heh.

Well, it's a fair trade for getting to know things about one of my friends. Especially when he's so shy that he doesn't really tell me personal details al that often.

Really? He never struck me as shy. But we kind of all really grew up together so maybe that's why. Sousuke-kun was always coming over for holidays and stuff it was fun. I hope I can enjoy some with him again.

I didn't know she was coming.... I was close friends with her and her brother. We were roommates at one point. I didn't want to make things worse by telling you.
